A Western Meal

I did it again. No 'Oops'. A family meal of spaghetti aglio olio, with salad and sliced tomatoes, and all washed down with iced lemon-orange juice with a dash of Pimms.

My dad posing with the meals created.

My spaghetti aglio olio made with love.

Mum's salad with mayonnaise, lemon juice, grated carrots, sliced onions and lettuce leaves.

Sliced tomatoes which i didn't touch at all.

My glass of iced lemon-orange juice with a dash of Pimms.

Sunway Pyramid

Sunway Lagoon, J Co Donuts, and one really bad advertisement.

These mark the Raya date darling and i had after a very spontaneous permission was granted by my mum.

Of course, the second half of our date will remain private and confidential. For us to know, not even for you to find out.

Smoked Salmon Pasta

Cooking for the family. A simple pasta dish with two salads on the side. Contains added smoked salmon, mozzarrella cheese, parsley and mixed herbs. Scrump-dilly-umptious!

Recipe
Method:
  1. Boil the pasta until al dente. Add salt to the pasta for taste.
  2. To make the sauce, use olive oil and fry garlic until it turns brown. Add onions to the mixture and continue frying until an aroma emanates from the wok or frying pan. Once the aroma has been taken note of, throw oyster mushrooms (button mushrooms according to your own liking) and cook. Pour in two tablespoons of lemon juice.
  3. Once pasta is ready, drain it and set it aside.
  4. Once sauce is ready, toss the pasta in and stir them together. Mix them well, toss them over. Then add in two tablespoons of lemon zest.
  5. Once everything is cooked, add mozzarrella cheese to the combination and stir well until cheese is melted. Throw in the remainder of the lemon juice (if any left), add the shredded smoked salmon and top it with parsley. Add more cheese, to your liking.
  6. Serve with soup or salad.
